Everton faced off against Nottingham Forest at the City Ground earlier today as they hoped to earn a good result in the Premier League. The Toffees made a bright start to the game and got their noses ahead in the tenth minute via Demarai Gray’s penalty. However, the home side responded quickly and managed to get themselves level with the help of Brennan Johnson’s goal just nine minutes later.
Abdoulaye Doucoure restored Everton’s lead in the 29th minute as the Merseyside club went into the half-time break 2-1 up on the scoreline.
Brennan Johnson scored again for Nottingham in the 77th minute as Everton had to settle for a 2-2 draw away from home.

He gave a good account of himself on the defensive end of the field but was also guilty of giving away the ball cheaply at times.

Iwobi showed some signs of promise down the right flank and got replaced late in the game.

He was a real threat in the final third and scored his team’s second goal in the 29th minute.

Gueye anchored the midfield with conviction and made one encouraging run with the ball.
CM: Amadou Onana – 7/10
He earned the ball back for Everton on a few occasions and engineered one good chance in the opponent’s half.
LM: Dwight McNeil – 7/10
McNeil worked hard at both ends of the field but didn’t do enough to register a goal.
ST: Demarai Gray – 7/10
He kept his composure to convert his penalty in the tenth minute. However, he was mostly quiet in the second half.
