Leeds United will lock horns with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge this Saturday afternoon as they try to grind out a good result on their travels in the Premier League. The Whites suffered a poor 2-0 loss away at Fulham in the FA Cup recently, so they would be eager to put in a good performance against the Blues this weekend.
The Yorkshire club will set themselves up in a 4-3-3 formation and are expected to make one change to their first XI for this game. Liam Cooper will get a chance to play from the start while Rasmus Kristensen makes way for him and drops to the bench.
4-3-3 Leeds United Predicted Lineup To Face Chelsea
Defence
Illan Meslier will function in goal for the Whites after conceding a couple of goals in his last outing. Robin Koch will function alongside Liam Cooper at the heart of the Leeds backline as they focus on keeping the opposition attackers frustrated during the 90 minutes.
Luke Ayling could get a chance to impress as the right-back while Junior Firpo looks to catch the eye on the other side as the left-back. Both of them would have to perform their defensive duties well if Leeds are to stand a chance of claiming something from this contest at Stamford Bridge.
Rasmus Kristensen will provide cover for the defensive positions on the bench.
Midfield
Marc Roca, Tyler Adams and Weston McKennie will anchor the midfield for the Whites as they try to make life difficult for the home team at the centre of the park. All three of them need to work hard on protecting their backline and will also need to move the ball well if they want to create some chances for their teammates on the counter.
Darko Gyabi will be available for selection on the bench and might come on to influence the game in the second half if required.
Attack
Wilfried Gnonto could get another chance to impress as the left-sided wide player while Crysencio Summerville looks to put in an influential display on the right.
Georginio Rutter will lead the charge for the Whites up top. He has to find a way to cause a few problems for the Chelsea centre-backs this Saturday.
Sonny Perkins and Patrick Bamford will be named on the bench as they wait for their chance to influence the game in the latter stages of the game if Leeds are in need of a goal by then.
