In a recent tweet, journalist Toni Juanmarti stated that Barcelona are in advanced talks to sign Athletico Paranaense whizkid Vitor Roque. It has been mentioned that the Catalan giants are eyeing a move to acquire the services of the Brazilian talent.
Barça y Paranaense avanzan por Vitor Roque. En los últimos días, el FCB ha trasladado que quiere ir hasta el final pese a no tener hoy fair play.
El club brasileño dice a otros equipos que Roque será culé.

Roque’s Impressive Rise In The Brasileirao
The 18-year-old has enjoyed a brilliant rise in Brazilian football as he has already established himself as an important member of Athletico Paranaense’s squad. Roque has found the back of the net eight times and earned three assists in 38 appearances for the Brazilian club this season across various competitions.
The gifted talent has given a good account of himself by averaging 1.4 shots, 0.4 key passes and 0.5 dribbles per game in the Brasileirao. However, he needs to improve his ball distribution after making 70% of his attempted passes in the Brazilian top tier (stats via whoscored).
His current contract at the Brazilian club is set to run out in the summer of 2027. Hence, Barcelona will have to make a big offer if they want to get Roque on board at the end of this season.
Barcelona Are In Advanced Talks To Land Roque: Is He A Prospect For The Future?
Roque is proficient at generating space for himself to get a few shots in at goal. He is a technically gifted footballer who can strike the ball with venom from long range. The Brazilian youngster has already added a few goals and assists to his game and has got the potential to become one of the best players in his position someday.
We can expect Roque to enhance the overall depth of Xavi‘s match-day squad at the Nou Camp as long as he can make a smooth transition to life in Spain. He is primarily a centre-forward but can also function as a wide player on either flank if his manager asks him to do so.
At 18, the sky is the limit for Roque. Hence, Barcelona will do well to lure him to Catalonia when the transfer window reopens later this year.
He is already good enough to challenge for a regular starting spot at the Catalan club and could go on to form a productive partnership with Gavi and Pedri at Barcelona in the long run. With all things considered, Roque is no doubt a prospect to watch out for in the future, so Xavi should focus on getting a deal done for him in the off-season.
