In a recent report, Fichajes claimed that Real Madrid are leading the race to land Manchester City star Erling Haaland. It has been revealed that Los Blancos are in a great position to land the Norway international in the summer of 2024.
Haaland’s Outstanding Debut Season At Man City
Haaland has enjoyed an excellent debut season at the Etihad Stadium as he has put in several match-winning displays as the focal point of Pep Guardiola’s attack. The 22-year-old has banged in 31 goals and grabbed three assists in 28 appearances for the Mancunian club during this campaign across all fronts.
The Leeds-born talent has been a consistent performer in the final third based on his average of 3.7 shots and 0.9 key passes per game in Premier League football. He has even been tidy when linking up play with his teammates, as evidenced by his pass success rate of 76.3% in top-flight football (stats via whoscored).
His current deal with Man City is set to run out in the summer of 2027. Thus, Los Blancos will have to make a mammoth offer if they are serious about recruiting Haaland in the summer of 2024.
Is Haaland A Dream Option For Real Madrid?
Haaland can create space for himself to get a few strikes in at goal and is a deadly finisher in front of the opposition goal. He can use his strong 1.95m frame to dominate the opposition defenders in the air and be a real threat in front of goal.
The Norway international can also create some decent openings for others around him on the attacking end of the field. Haaland has even got the pace and power to get in behind the opponent’s backline. However, he needs to work on improving his link-up play a little if he wants to taste more success at the highest level.
Haaland will no doubt be a dream option for Los Blancos if they decide to move in for him in 2024. He will add plenty of goals and physicality to Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti‘s attack and could help the Madrid giants challenge for multiple major trophies in the future.
At 22, Haaland has already established himself as a generational talent and has what it takes to become a future star at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium. Therefore, Ancelotti should try everything in his power to bring the Norwegian centre-forward to the Spanish capital in the summer of 2024.
