Arsenal will clash heads with Leicester City at the King Power Stadium on Saturday afternoon as they try to pick up maximum points on their travels in the Premier League. The Gunners managed to earn a 4-2 win over Aston Villa recently, so they will fancy their chances of securing another win in the league this weekend.
Mikel Arteta will set his players up in a 4-3-3 formation once again and could be inclined to make one change to his first team for this game. Gabriel Martinelli is expected to play from the start while Leandro Trossard drops to the bench.
4-3-3 Arsenal Predicted Lineup To Face Leicester City
Defence
Aaron Ramsdale will function in goal for the Gunners after conceding a couple of goals in his last outing. William Saliba will operate alongside Gabriel at the heart of Arteta’s defence as they try to keep the Foxes at bay during the 90 minutes.
Ben White would look to give a good account of himself as the right-back while Oleksandr Zinchenko tries to catch the eye on the other flank as the left-back. Arteta might instruct both of them to be more adventurous than usual so that they can offer some decent service to the front players.
Rob Holding and Kieran Tierney will be named on the bench as they provide cover for the defensive positions.
Midfield
Granit Xhaka, Jorginho and Martin Odegaard will make up Arsenal’s midfield as they try to establish their superiority over the opposition at the centre of the park.
All three of them need to move the ball well so that they can engineer enough clear-cut chances for the Gunners to win this game.
Fabio Vieira will have to be content with a spot on the bench as he awaits his chance to shine in the second half if Arteta opts to call upon his services.
Attack
As mentioned earlier, Gabriel Martinelli will get the nod to play as the left-sided wide player while Bukayo Saka tries to make a difference from the right. Both of them will get the license to stretch the Leicester backline and cause a lot of problems for them from the wide areas.
Eddie Nketiah could get another shot to catch the eye as the spearhead of Arteta’s attack. He has to find a way to be more productive up top if he wants to keep hold of his starting spot as Gabriel Jesus is nearing a return from injury.
