Manchester United welcomed Barcelona at Old Trafford earlier tonight as they hoped to earn a positive result at home in the UEFA Europa League and progress into the next phase of the competition. The Red Devils made a slow start to the game and conceded the opening goal in the 18th minute when Robert Lewandowski scored from the penalty spot. Man United failed to come up with a response in the first half and went into the half-time break 1-0 down on the scoreline.
Fred equalised for the home team just two minutes into the second half before Antony ended up netting the winning goal in the 73rd minute. The contest ended with Man United earning an impressive 2-1 win at the Theatre of Dreams.
