Leeds United will face off against Fulham at Craven Cottage this Tuesday night as they try to secure a positive result in the fifth round of the FA Cup. The Whites managed to secure a 1-0 win over Southampton recently which will keep them in high spirits ahead of this game.
The West Yorkshire club could set themselves up in a 4-2-3-1 formation and are expected to make a few changes to their first XI for this cup game. Sam Greenwood and Georginio Rutter could both get a chance to play from the start in midweek.
4-2-3-1 Leeds United Predicted Lineup To Face Fulham
Defence
Joel Robles will function in goal for the Whites as he looks to secure a clean sheet away from home in the FA Cup. Robin Koch will resume his defensive partnership with Maximilian Wöber at the centre of the Leeds backline as they try to keep things tidy at the back during the 90 minutes.
Rasmus Kristensen could get a chance to shine as the right-back while Junior Firpo hopes to put in another good display as the left-back following his match-winning performance versus the Saints recently.
Luke Ayling will offer cover for the defensive positions on the bench. However, Pascal Struijk is unlikely to be ready in time for this game.
Midfield
Marc Roca and Darko Gyabi will operate as the holding midfielders as they focus on dominating the battle at the centre of the park and fashion some clear-cut chances in the final third.
The gifted trio of Crysencio Summerville, Patrick Bamford and Sam Greenwood will play just ahead of them as part of Leeds’ attack. All three of them need to move the ball well in the Fulham half if they are to engineer enough chances for the Whites to win this FA Cup clash.
Jack Harrison and Brenden Aaronson will be named on the bench as they wait for their opportunity to shine in the second half if needed.
Attack
Georginio Rutter will spearhead Leeds United’s attack on his own up top. He has to find a way to cause a few problems for the Fulham centre-back in midweek.
Rodrigo will definitely miss this clash due to injury. However, Wilfried Gnonto will be available for selection on the bench and might come on to influence the game in the final quarter of the game if the Whites are in need of a goal by then.
