Chelsea will clash heads with West Ham United at the London Stadium on Saturday afternoon, hoping to pick up a positive result away from home. The visitors will be coming into the match on the back of a 0-0 stalemate with Fulham, whereas the Hammers recorded a 1-1 draw with Newcastle United.
Graham Potter will probably opt for the 3-5-2 formation; however, he is expected to make a couple of changes for the upcoming contest as Kalidou Koulibaly looks likely to make his way back into the starting eleven.
3-5-2 Chelsea Predicted Lineup Vs West Ham United
Defence
Kepa Arrizabalaga is expected to start between the sticks for the upcoming clash. The Spanish shot-stopper would hope to put up a strong performance and secure a clean sheet on Saturday.
Kalidou Koulibaly is expected to start at the heart of Blues’ backline, whereas Benoit Badiashile will feature at the left centre-back spot. Thiago Silva will fulfil the right centre-back position.
Midfield
Enzo Fernandez and Conor Gallagher might fulfil the holding midfield positions, with the former occupying a more central role. The pair would be looking to dominate the midfield proceedings.
Marc Cucurella might start at the left wing-back position, whereas Reece James will fill in on the other flank as the right wing-back. The duo would be expected to stretch Chelsea’s attacks in the opposition half.
Mason Mount might slot in as the attacking midfielder.
Noni Madueke will have to settle for a place on the bench, but he could be brought on in the latter stages of the game if needed.
Attack
Kai Havertz and Raheem Sterling will slot into the striker roles. The duo would be determined to find the back of the net when they face off against the West Ham defence that has conceded just two goals in their last five matches across all competitions.
Mykhaylo Mudryk might come on to make a cameo appearance in the second forty-five minutes.
