West Ham United faced off against Leeds United at Elland Road earlier tonight as they looked to grind out a positive result on the road. The Hammers made a slow start to the game and conceded the opening goal in the 27th minute when Wilfried Gnonto found the back of the net for the home team. However, the East London giants ended the half strongly and scored the equaliser in the 45th minute when Lucas Paqueta converted from the penalty spot. Both teams went into the half-time break with a 1-1 scoreline.
Gianluca Scamacca scored just one minute into the second half which put West Ham 2-1 ahead on the night. However, Leeds equalised in the 70th minute when Rodrigo got his name on the scoresheet. The contest finished with the Hammers being held to a 2-2 draw in Yorkshire.
