West Ham United will face Brentford on Saturday night as they travel to the Gtech Community Stadium for the third round of the FA Cup. The Hammers come into the match on the back of a 2-2 draw against Leeds United in the Premier League, so they will be looking to produce a better result in this away encounter. On the other hand, the Bees recorded an impressive 3-1 victory over Liverpool in their last outing which will keep them in high spirits.
David Moyes will probably make use of the 4-3-3 formation allowing Gianluca Scamacca to lead the line down the middle while Declan Rice and Thomas Soucek continue in the central areas.

Defence
Alphonse Areola will replace Lukasz Fabianski to operate in between the sticks for this away encounter. The French shot-stopper will hope to give a strong performance and secure a clean sheet. Nayef Aguerd will form the customary centre-half partnership with Craig Dawson at the heart of West Ham’s backline.
Aaron Cresswell should continue at the left wing-back spot, whereas Vladimir Coufal will start on the other flank as the right wing-back. The full-backs will have to get forward to stretch the opposition and remain compact defensively.
Thilo Kehrer and Ben Johnson will take a spot on the bench to provide defensive cover for the backline.
Midfield
As mentioned earlier, Tomas Soucek and Declan Rice will continue in the central areas alongside Lucas Paqueta, whereas Rice will assume more of a defensive role to shield the back four and proficiently distribute possession in the central areas. On the other hand, Paqueta will look to get deep into the opposition’s backline and create opportunities in front of the goal.
Flynn Downes will take a spot on the bench as he waits for his chance to shine in the latter stages of the game.
Attack
Said Benrahma will replace Pablo Fornals to feature on the opposite flank of Jarod Bowen taking up the wide positions, and playing on the left and right-wing, respectively.
Gianluca Scamacca is will continue to lead the line for the visitors for this encounter. The Italian forward will hope to make the most of his chances and get his name on the scoresheet again after netting one in his last outing.
Michail Antonio will have to wait for his chance to impress in the final third as he takes a spot on the bench.
