Leeds United will lock horns with West Ham United as they welcome them to Elland Road this Wednesday to try and grind out a better result. The Whites performed in an amazing manner as they held Newcastle United to a scoreless draw. On the other hand, the visitors suffered a disappointing 2-0 defeat at the hands of Brentford in their last match.
Jesse Marsch will probably make use of the 4-2-3-1 formation and is expected to keep the changes to a minimum, allowing Rodrigo to continue leading the charge up top while Illan Meslier operates in between the sticks hoping to keep the opposition attackers from finding the back of the net.
4-2-3-1 Leeds United Predicted XI Vs West Ham United
Illan Meslier will feature in goal for the West Yorkshire club after keeping a clean sheet in his last Premier League appearance. Liam Cooper will form the customary centre-half partnership with Robin Koch at the heart of Marsch’s defence as they try to keep the Hammers at bay during the game.
Rasmus Kristensen will replace Luke Ayling as the right-back while Pascal Struijk continues to operate on the other flank as the left-back. Both of them would be eager to impress after struggling to give a good account of themselves versus Man City.
Diego Llorente will have to be content with a place on the bench as he offers cover for the centre-back positions.
Midfield
Marc Roca and Tyler Adams will anchor the midfield for Leeds United as they focus on making life difficult for the opposition at the centre of the park. They will also have to find a way to create some decent plays for their teammates in the opponent’s half.
Jack Harrison will act as the advanced attacking midfielder tasked with creating enough chances in the final third and setting up his teammates in front of the goal.
Mateusz Klich and Adam Foresahaw will be named on the bench and might come on to influence the game in the second half if Marsch opts to call upon their services.
Attack
Wilfried Gnonto will operate as a left-sided wide player while Brenden Aaronson hopes to catch the eye on the right flank. Both of them need to be at the top of their game if Leeds are to score at Elland Road this weekend.
Rodrigo Moreno will get a chance to shine as the focal point of the Yorkshire club’s attack. The Spaniard has to find ways to pose a threat in front of the Newcastle goal.
Sam Greenwood and Joe Gelhardt will be available for selection on the bench as they wait for their opportunity to catch the eye as impact substitutes if required.
