Liverpool faced off against Brentford at the Gtech Community Stadium earlier this evening as they hoped to secure a good result away from home in the Premier League. The Reds made a lackluster start to the first half and conceded the opening goal when Ibrahima Konate scored an unfortunate own goal. The Bees doubled their lead in the 42nd minute when Yoane Wissa scored with a good effort. The Merseyside club went into the half-time interval 2-0 down on the scoreline and with a mountain to climb in the second half.
