Leeds United faced off against Cardiff City at the Cardiff City Stadium earlier today as they hoped to grind out a good result away from home in the FA Cup. The Whites were lackluster in the first half and conceded the opening goal in the 24th minute when Jaden Philogene scored for the home team. Sheyi Ojo doubled Cardiff’s advantage just seven minutes later as Leeds went into the half-time break 2-0 down on the scoreline.
However, Rodrigo pulled a goal back for the Whites in the 65th minute before Sonny Perkins scored a dramatic injury-time goal for the visitors in injury-time. The contest ended with Jesse Marsch’s side being held to a 2-2 draw on the road.

The talented playmaker managed to engineer two good chances in the final third but never looked like he would score.
CM: Sam Greenwood – 8/10
Greenwood got stuck in with plenty of solid tackles and managed to create multiple chances for his teammates to find the back of the net. He has got an assist to show for his efforts.
CM: Darko Gyabi – 6.5/10
He was lively at times in both halves but got replaced in the 59th minute.
LM: Crysencio Summerville – 6/10
Summerville orchestrated one good chance in the final third. However, he was wasteful in front of the opponent’s goal and did well to last 58 minutes.

Gnonto caused a few headaches for the Cardiff defenders but failed to register a goal or an assist.

He was quiet for most of the game in the opponent’s half and never looked like he would score.
