Newcastle United will lock horns with Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Saturday evening, hoping to pick up a positive result away from home. The Magpies will be coming into the match on the back of a tight 1-0 win against Fulham, whereas the hosts recorded a 1-1 draw with Manchester United.
Eddie Howe will probably opt for the 4-3-3 formation; however, he is expected to make a couple of changes for the upcoming clash as Alexander Isak looks likely to make his way back into the starting eleven.
4-3-3 Newcastle United Predicted Lineup Vs Crystal Palace
Defence
Nick Pope will continue to operate in between the sticks for the visitors. The English shot-stopper would hope to put up a strong performance and secure a clean sheet on Saturday.
Eddie Howe is expected to field the defensive duo of Fabian Schar and Sven Botman at the heart of the Magpies’ backline. Their main objective would be to track and close down the potential openings the Palace frontmen might create.
Dan Burn could feature at the left wing-back spot, whereas Kieran Trippier will fill in on the other flank as the right wing-back.
Midfield
Sean Longstaff and Joe Willock are expected to start in the central midfield positions, whereas Joelinton will slot in as the attacking midfielder. The trio would be determined to set up some clear-cut goal-scoring chances for the frontmen.
Jacob Murphy will have to settle for a place on the bench but could come on in the second half of the game if needed.
Attack
Allan Saint-Maximin and Miguel Almiron will take up the wide positions, playing down the left and right-wing, respectively.
Alexander Isak will lead the line for the Magpies against Crystal Palace on Saturday. The striker would hope to get his name on the scoresheet when he faces off against the defence that has conceded eight goals in their last five matches across all competitions.
