West Ham United clashed heads with Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium earlier tonight as they looked to earn a win in the London derby. The Hammers made a decent start to the game and got their noses ahead in the 27th minute courtesy of Said Benrahma’s penalty. David Moyes’ men defended their narrow lead well and managed to get to the half-time break 1-0 up on the scoreline.
However, the Hammers failed to restrict Arsenal in the second half and conceded the equaliser in the 53rd minute when Bukayo Saka found the back of the net. Just five minutes later, Gabriel Martinelli got his name on the scoresheet to complete the turnaround for the Gunners. Eddie Nketiah ended up killing the game off in the 69th minute when he scored as well. West Ham couldn’t help but crash to a 3-1 defeat at the Emirates.
Let’s take a look at how each West Ham United player performed during the match against the Gunners.
