In a recent report from Metro, it was mentioned that Real Madrid have come to an agreement with Endrick Felipe of Palmeiras. The hottest prospect in the football world was supposedly shown interest from Paris Saint Germain, Chelsea, Manchester City and Barcelona, so that would be a huge blow for all the clubs interested as the youngster has verbally agreed to join Los Blancos.
Endrick’s Impressive Breakthrough At Palmeiras This Season
Endrick has come through the youth ranks of Palmeiras and made his senior debut for Palmeiras in October having already scored three times for the club so far. The 16-year-old has produced several eye-catching displays climbing the ranks into Palmeiras’ senior team where he has banged in 2 goals and produced an assist so far.
The talented teenager has also played in the Copa Sao Paulo de Futebol Junior tournament, also known as Copinha, where he scored seven goals. This brought Palmeiras their 1st Copinha title. The Brasilia-born talent has done well to make four appearances for Brasil’s U-17 national team as well where he has managed to find the back of the net on five occasions.
His current contract with the Brazilian club is set to expire at the end of 2024, so he won’t be allowed to leave until then but the European Champions have come to an agreement with him and will acquire his services at the end of that season.
Good Move From Real Madrid Boss Carlo Ancelotti?
Endrick is still quite raw and would need time before he is ready to experience senior football at the highest level. However, there is no denying that he has the quality to become a future star in European football especially if he can continue improving over the coming years.
Los Blancos have had similar breakthroughs in Brasil as they went for Vinicius Junior in 2017 and Rodrygo in 2018 which have been hugely successful for them as both remain vital players in the Spanish capital. Carlo Ancelotti has done well to make an offer and convince the youngster to join them after his contract with his current club comes to an end. He would be brought to Santiago Bernabeu with the same vision as that of Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo as he climbs up the pecking order at Madrid and rises to his full potential.
