It is understood that the Red Devils are ready to offer £43.1 million for the Eredivisie winger but the Dutch outfit are expected to increase their asking price after his stellar performances in the 2022 FIFA World Cup which has garnered attention from various European clubs.

Gakpo is having a brilliant campaign at Philips Stadion as he has produced several influential displays on the left flank of the attacking third. The 23-year-old has been involved in 24 matches for his current employers this season, scoring 13 goals and producing an amazing 17 assists in the process across multiple competitions.
The Netherlands international has been more than reliable for Eindhoven in the final third based on his average of 3.6 shots, 4.2 key passes and 1.9 dribbles per game in the Dutch Eredivisie.
