Bellingham’s Excellent Form In German Football
Bellingham has experienced a wonderful season at Signal Iduna Park after producing several influential displays at the centre of Dortmund’s midfield. The Stourbridge-born sensation has banged in ten goals and earned five assists in 31 matches for both his club and country during this campaign across all fronts.
The former Birmingham City midfield ace has given a good account of himself at both ends of the field based on his average of 3.2 tackles, 1.4 interceptions, 1.1 clearances, 2.1 shots, 1.0 key passes and 2.0 dribbles per 90 minutes in Bundesliga. He has even been careful when distributing the ball from midfield, as evidenced by his pass completion rate of 82.5% in top-flight football (stats via whoscored).
The 19-year-old’s current deal with Dortmund is set to expire in 2025. Plus, he is having an excellent 2022 FIFA World Cup campaign with England in Qatar right now. Hence, Liverpool will have to pay a big fee if they are serious about bringing Bellingham to Anfield next summer.
Is Bellingham A Dream Option For Liverpool?
Bellingham can read the game well from midfield and doesn’t mind getting stuck in with some solid tackles to earn the ball back for his side at the centre of the park. He is a tidy passer of the ball and can create some decent plays for others around him in the final third. The English sensation can shoot the ball with power and precision from all ranges and is proficient at making some dangerous runs with the ball in the opposition half.
At the moment, Bellingham is playing at a high level and would make an immediate impact at Anfield if Liverpool can devise a way to get him on board at the end of this campaign.
At 19, Bellingham has got the ceiling to become the best midfielder in the world if he continues to improve his numbers with each season. Jurgen Klopp could be the ideal man to oversee his development and make him an unstoppable force at the centre of Liverpool’s midfield.
All in all, Bellingham will be a dream option for the Reds to consider next summer as long as they have the funds to pull off such a mega-money transfer.
