Germany locked horns with Spain at the Al Bayt Stadium earlier today as they focused on securing their first points of the 2022 FIFA World Cup. The Germans made a slow start to the game but managed to get into the half-time break with a goalless scoreline.
Hansi Flick’s men conceded the opening goal in the 62nd minute when Alvaro Morata scored with an excellent finish. However, Germany didn’t give up and managed to equalise in the 83rd minute when Niclas Fullkrug scored with a good finish. The contest ended with Germany earning a hard-fought 1-1 draw in Qatar.
