Tottenham Hotspur will welcome Liverpool at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this Sunday evening as they look to secure a win in front of their home fans in the Premier League. Spurs managed to earn a hard-fought 2-1 win over Olympique Marseille recently which will keep them in high spirits ahead of this game.
Antonio Conte could set his men up in a 3-5-2 formation and will opt for a few changes to his starting XI for this game. Emerson Royal and Davinson Sanchez might play from the start as Conte hopes to find the winning formula against the Reds this weekend.
3-5-2 Tottenham Hotspur Predicted Lineup To Face Liverpool
Defence
Hugo Lloris will feature in between the sticks for Spurs after he conceded one goal in midweek. Conte might opt for a back three of Davinson Sanchez, Eric Dier and Clement Lenglet as they look to keep things solid at the back throughout the game. All three of them need to be at the top of their game if they are to restrict Liverpool from scoring this weekend.
Cristian Romero is a slight doubt for this game and could be available for selection for a place on the bench as he offers cover for the defensive positions.
Midfield
Pierre-Emile Højbjerg, Yves Bissouma and Rodrigo Bentancur will function as the holding midfielders as they focus on stopping the opposition from dominating the ball at the centre of the park.
Ivan Perisic will fill in as the left-sided wide player while Emerson Royal hopes to catch the eye on the other flank as the right wing-back. Both of them would be given the responsibility to contain the Liverpool wide players from creating too many problems during the game.
Oliver Skipp, Pape Matar Sarr and Matt Doherty will be named on the bench and might come on to influence the game in the second 45 minutes if Conte opts to call upon their services.
Attack
Harry Kane and Lucas Moura will probably lead the line for the North London giants up top. Kane will be Spurs’ best hope for a goal this weekend while Lucas Moura has to find a way to put his pace to good use on the counter.
Richarlison (calf), Dejan Kulusevski (hamstring) and Heung-min Son (eye) will miss this clash because of injuries. Hence, we can expect Spurs to be short on attacking options for this league clash against the Merseyside outfit.
