The FIFA World Cup is set to begin in Qatar on November 20. The eyes of all football fans will be firmly fixed on the prestigious competition as 32 of the best nations in the world fight it out to see who gets crowned as the new world champions.
The World Cup is being held in the Middle East for the first time with all of the participating countries hoping to make it to the final which will be held at the Lusail Iconic Stadium on December 18 later this year.
With another edition of this famous tournament comes another batch of great players who will play their last World Cup this winter.

Lionel Messi
The Argentine superstar will try to defy all odds by leading his country to win the whole thing when he laces up to feature in what is expected to be his final World Cup in Qatar. Argentina is in red-hot form at the moment, so Lionel Messi has every reason to be optimistic about his team’s chances of success come December. At 35, he is not getting any younger, so it is likely to be his last chance at becoming a world champion.
Cristiano Ronaldo
This will be the final World Cup appearance for the 37-year-old Portuguese great. Hence, we can expect Ronaldo to be eager to take his nation on a long cup run in Qatar. With the likes of Diogo Jota, Bruno Fernandes, and Ruben Neves playing alongside him, the Portugal legend would be hungry for goals when the World Cup gets underway next month.
Robert Lewandowski
The Polish striker remains an excellent finisher in front of the opposition goal even at the age of 34. This is likely to be Lewandowski’s final World Cup as well, so it’s safe to say that he will be Poland’s best hope for success later this year.
Luka Modric
