Leeds United will lock horns with Leicester City at the King Power Stadium this Thursday night as they try to secure a good result on the road. The Whites suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat at the hands of Arsenal recently, so they will be desperate to bounce back with a win versus the Foxes this week.
Jesse Marsch will set his side up in a 4-2-3-1 formation and could name a strong first XI for this match. The Leeds boss is expected to keep changes to a minimum for this game.
4-2-3-1 Leeds United Predicted Lineup To Face Leicester City
Defence
Illan Meslier will function in between the sticks for the West Yorkshire club after shipping in just one goal versus the Gunners in his last Premier League appearance. Robin Koch will once again partner Liam Cooper at the centre of the Leeds backline as they try to stop the opposition from scoring during the 90 minutes.
Rasmus Kristensen would try to put in a solid display at right-back while Pascal Struijk will fill in on the other flank as the left-back. Both of them need to stay strong and compact defensively if the Whites are to come out on top at the King Power Stadium.
Luke Ayling and Junior Firpo will have to be content with a spot on the bench as they provide cover for the defensive positions.
Midfield
Marc Roca and Tyler Adams will anchor the midfield for Marsch’s side as they try to establish their superiority over Leicester at the centre of the park.
The gifted trio of Luis Sinisterra, Brennen Aaronson and Jack Harrison will play just ahead of them as part of Leeds’ attack. All three of them need to work together collectively if the Whites want to create enough opportunities to win this game away from home.
Mateusz Klich will be named on the bench but might come on to influence the game in the second 45 minutes if Marsch decides to call upon his services.
Attack
Patrick Bamford will probably get another chance to impress as the centre-forward for the Whites. He failed to convert a penalty last weekend and would be eager to make amends by producing a good performance against the Foxes this Thursday night.
Joe Gelhardt will have to be content with a place on the bench as he awaits his chance to make an impact in the latter stages of the contest if Leeds are in need of a goal by then.
