AC Milan will clash heads with Dynamo Zagreb as they travel to Maksimir Stadium Tuesday night in what seems to be an important fixture. The Italian giants will have to earn a positive result this time as anything less would end their hopes of qualifying for the UCL knockout rounds. The Rossoneri suffered a disappointing 2-0 defeat at the hands of Chelsea last week at SanSiro as they find themselves in third place in Group E of the Champions League.
Stefano Pioli will set his team up in a 4-2-3-1 formation allowing Pierre Kalulu to keep his place in the right-back position and Brahim Diaz to start again in this match as Pioli looks to find the winning formula for this European contest.
4-2-3-1 AC Milan Predicted Line Up Vs Dynamo Zagreb
Defence
Ciprian Tătăruşanu will continue to function in goal for the Blues as he hopes to give a strong performance. Simon Thorup Kjær could form his defensive partnership with Matteo Gabbia at the centre of Milan’s backline as they try to keep things tidy at the back throughout the game.
Pierre Kalulu will keep his place as the right-back while Theo Hernandez fills in on the other flank as the left-back. Both will get the license to get forward and express themselves in the opponent’s half.
Sergino Dest will drop to the bench to provide cover for the defensive positions and could come on to impact the game in the second half if required.
Midfield
Ismael Bennacer and Sandro Tonali will anchor the midfield for Pioli’s side as they focus on efficiently distributing possession at the centre of the park.
The talented trio of Rafael Leao, Brahim Diaz and Yacine Adli will operate just ahead of them as part of Milan’s attack. Leao has to find a way to get in behind the opposition backline so that they can engineer cleat-cut chances inside the opponent’s penalty area.
Rade Krunic and Tommaso Pobega will be available for selection on the bench as they wait for their chance to make an impact in the second half if required.
Attack
Olivier Giroud will lead the charge for the Italian giants up top. The French striker will have to carry most of the goal-scoring burden for AC Milan on the attacking end of the pitch as he fancies his chances of finding the back of the net.
