Manchester United faced off against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium earlier today as they hoped to earn all three points in the Manchester derby. The Red Devils began the game slowly and conceded the opening goal in the eight-minute courtesy of Phil Foden’s controlled finish. Erling Haaland doubled Man City’s advantage with a good header in the 34th minute before scoring again just three minutes later. Phil Foden added another goal in the latter stages of the first half as the home team led 4-0 at half-time.
Antony got a goal back for Man United with a great strike in the 56th minute. However, Man City responded positively as both Haaland and Foden completed their hattricks soon after. Anthony Martial came off the bench and scored a brace late in the game as Man United crashed to a 6-3 loss away from home.
