Liverpool locked horns with Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium earlier today as they looked to secure a good result at home. The Reds made a poor start to the game and conceded the opening goal in the first minute when Gabriel Martinelli scored with a tidy finish. However, Darwin Nunez equalised for the Merseyside club in the 34th minute. Bukayo Saka ended up giving Arsenal the lead in the first half injury-time as Liverpool trailed 2-1 at half-time.
Roberto Firmino made an instant impact off the bench and scored with a good finish in the 53rd minute to make the scoreline level. However, Liverpool were unfortunate to concede a soft penalty which Saka converted from the spot in the 76th minute. The match ended with Jurgen Klopp’s men crashing to a poor 3-2 loss at North London.
Let’s take a look at how each Liverpool player performed during the match against the Gunners.

The Portuguese striker made some good runs with the ball but never looked like he would score.
LW: Luis Diaz – 7/10
Diaz’s pace caused a lot of problems for the home side and picked up an assist for setting up Nunez’s goal.
ST: Darwin Nunez – 7/10
The Uruguay international was a real threat on the counter and had a very good first half. He scored Liverpool’s first equaliser but failed to get himself involved in the latter stages of the game.
