Leeds United welcomed Arsenal at Elland Road earlier today as they hoped to grab all three points at home. The Whites made a solid start to the game but conceded the opening goal in the 35th minute when Bukayo Saka scored with a great finish for Arsenal. The Yorkshire outfit were trailing 1-0 at half-time.
Patrick Bamford missed a crucial penalty in the second half which cost Leeds any chance of a comeback as they crashed to a hard-fought 1-0 loss at Elland Road.

GK: Illan Meslier – 7/10
The talented goalie made a few decent saves at the back and even made one crucial clearance inside his half. However, he will be disheartened after conceding a goal in the 35th minute which turned out to be the only one of the whole match.
RB: Rasmus Kristensen – 7/10
He didn’t do much strong on the defensive end of the field.
CB: Robin Koch – 6.5/10
Koch made some important defensive contributions but didn’t do enough to keep a clean sheet.
CB: Liam Cooper – 7/10
He earned the ball back a few times and made one decent chance in the final third.
LB: Pascal Struijk – 7/10
Struijk made some solid tackles at the back and was strong in the air.
CM: Tyler Adams – 6/10
He struggled to get into the flow of the game at the centre of the park.
CM: Marc Roca – 6.5/10
The Spanish talent was not shy of making a tackle and had a couple of lively moments in the opponent’s half.
RW: Brenden Aaronson – 6.5/10
Aaronson had a few bright moments in the game but lacked the cutting edge in front of the Arsenal goal.
CAM: Jack Harrison – 6.5/10
He found some joy in and around the Arsenal penalty area but failed to register a goal which will disappoint him.
LW: Luis Sinisterra – 7.5/10
Sinisterra was a constant menace in the final third and showed some flashes of what he is capable of but there was no goal for him today.
ST: Rodrigo – 6.5/10
Rodrigo began the match well but had to be substituted at half-time.

He was guilty of missing a penalty which cost his team the result.
CM: Mateusz Klich – 6/10
Klich added some energy to Leeds’ midfield.

He didn’t get enough time to make an impact.

Gelhardt offered very little after coming on in the 88th minute.
