The 2022 FIFA World Cup is set to take place in Qatar soon with England manager Gareth Southgate desperately hoping that his players can find some form when the tournament kicks off in Qatar next month.

Southgate was told that he would be paid £1.5m if he could lead the Three Lions to a World Cup win back in 2018. Now the England head coach is earning three times more than that figure and is expected to bag £4m if he can devise a way to win the World Cup with England this year.
The 52-year-old has already received a sum of £500,000 for making it through to the World Cup finals and can expect to be paid handsomely if his team can do well in the prestigious tournament.
Southgate’s Record With England And World Cup Chances
The current England national team has not been playing their best football under Gareth Southgate of late. Hence, it would take a mammoth effort for England to challenge the likes of Brazil, Argentina, France, and other top nations for the biggest prize in world football.
The Watford-born tactician has got a good record managing England as he has taken charge of 76 matches, picking up 2.08 points per game in the process.
Hence, Southgate will have to find a way to select a strong squad of players and lead them to World Cup glory when the competition kicks off on November 20 and concludes on December 18 at the Lusail Iconic Stadium.
