Manchester United clashed heads with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge earlier this evening as they hoped to secure a good result away from home in the Premier League. The Red Devils made a strong start to the game and grew in confidence in the first half. However, they were held to a scoreless draw at half-time.
Scott McTominay came off the bench and conceded a cheap penalty which Jorginho scored to give Chelsea the lead in the 87th minute. However, Casemiro scored a dramatic injury-time equaliser with a good header as the contest finished 1-1 with both sides sharing the points.
Let’s take a look at how each Manchester United player fared during the match against the Blues.
GK: David de Gea – 6/10
The Spanish keeper made just one save during the game but couldn’t do much about Jorginho’s penalty.
RB: Diogo Dalot – 6.5/10
He did his fair share of defending when called into action. However, his impact on the game was minimal going forward.
CB: Raphael Varane – 6.5/10
The French centre-back made some important defensive contributions but was forced off due to an injury close to the hour mark.
CB: Lisandro Martinez – 7/10
Martinez defended his penalty area with a lot of conviction but won’t be happy after conceding a late goal.

The English full-back earned the ball back a few times for his team and engineered a couple of inviting chances from the left flank. He picked up an assist for setting up Casemiro’s goal.
CM: Casemiro – 8/10
The Brazil international protected his backline really well at times and ended up rescuing a point for his team after finding the back of the net with a good header in injury-time.
CM: Christian Eriksen – 6.5/10
Eriksen created two good opportunities for his teammates but looked a bit slow at times in the middle of the park.
RW: Antony – 7/10
As always, he was full of trickery and running on the right wing. However, there was no goal for him this evening.
CAM: Bruno Fernandes – 7/10
The Portugal international was always looking to make plays for others around him and lacked quality in front of the Chelsea goal.
LW: Jadon Sancho – 6/10
Sancho had a couple of bright moments in the game but never looked like he had a goal in him.
ST: Marcus Rashford – 6.5/10
He was not shy of having a strike at goal but failed to take any of his chances.

The Swedish defender failed to keep things solid at the back.
