In a recent report from Football.London, it was mentioned that Arsenal are keeping close tabs on Marcus Rashford from Manchester United. It is understood that the forward’s contract expires next summer and the Gunners might be willing to make a bid in the January transfer window.
Rashford’s Recent Run Of Form
Rashford has had a decent start to this season as he has put in some influential displays down the final third. He has managed to find the back of the net on three occasions and created two assists over seven appearances so far.
The Manchester-born sensation has given a good account of himself, averaging 2.1 shots, 1.0 key passes and 1.3 dribbles per game in the Premier League. He has also been decent with his ball distribution after completing 72.6% of his attempted passes in the German top flight (stats via whoscored).
Should Arteta Bring Him To Arsenal?
Rashford can make some dangerous runs down the left flank and he can strike the ball with power and accuracy from a long range while also being able to finish inside the penalty box. He has the ability to get past defenders to create space for himself using his pace and excellent ball control. Furthermore, he can also set up his teammates in front of the goal by creating a few decent chances from the wide areas.
At 24, he has established himself as one of the best attackers in Europe while having the potential to grow further. He is primarily a left winger but remains versatile to feature as a striker or as a wide player. This makes him an excellent addition to any squad.
Mikel Arteta has done well to identify him as a potential target ahead of the January transfer window as he could certainly add more firepower to the Gunners‘ attack. If Arteta decides to bring him to the Emirates Stadium then he would have to make a lucrative offer and also be willing to offer Rashford enough game time to lure him in.
