Arsenal entertained PSV Eindhoven at the Emirates Stadium earlier this evening as they looked to secure a good result at home in the UEFA Europa League. The Gunners made a decent start to the game but were held to a scoreless draw at the half-time break.
The North London club pushed on in search of the winning goal in the second half and finally managed to find it in the 70th minute courtesy of Granit Xhaka’s cool finish. The match ended with Arsenal securing a 1-0 victory in front of their home fans.

He had to make just one save in the game and secured a comfortable clean sheet tonight.
RB: Takehiro Tomiyasu – 7/10
The Japanese talent was solid at the back and picked up an assist for setting up Xhaka’s winning goal.
CB: Rob Holding – 7/10
Holding made two important defensive contributions at the back and engineered two good chances in the final third.
CB: Gabriel – 7/10
He dealt with the danger when needed and did enough to restrict the PSV Eindhoven attackers from finding the back of the net.
LB: Kieran Tierney – 6.5/10
Tierney performed his defensive duties well but offered very little in the final third.
CM: Albert Sambi Lokonga – 6.5/10
He was strong in the air and made one key chance in the opponent’s half.
CM: Granit Xhaka – 7.5/10
The Swiss midfielder caused a lot of headaches for the opposition defenders and scored a deserved goal in the 70th minute to win the game for the Gunners.
RW: Bukayo Saka – 8.5/10
Saka caused all sorts of problems for the opposition and did everything but score this evening.
CAM: Fabio Viera – 6/10
He was accurate with his passing but offered very little on the attacking end of the field.
LW: Eddie Nketiah – 6/10
Nketiah was not shy of having an effort at goal but failed to get his name on the scoresheet.
ST: Gabriel Jesus – 8/10
The Brazilian sensation was a constant menace in the final third but lacked quality in front of the PSV goal.
