Barcelona will entertain Inter Milan at the Nou Camp on Wednesday night as they look to earn maximum points at home in the UEFA Champions League. The Catalan club managed to earn a narrow 1-0 victory over Celta Vigo last weekend which will keep them in high spirits ahead of this game.
Xavi will set his side up in a 4-3-3 formation and is expected to make a few tweaks to his starting XI for this game. Eric Garcia, Sergi Roberto and Ousmane Dembele could get a chance to play from the start in this European clash at Catalonia.
4-3-3 Barcelona Predicted Lineup To Face Inter Milan
Defence
Marc-André ter Stegen will function in between the sticks for the Catalan giants after securing a clean sheet in his last outing. Eric Garcia could get a chance to impress alongside Gerard Pique at the heart of the Barcelona backline.
Sergi Roberto will fill in at right-back while Jordi Alba hopes to catch the eye on the other side as the left-back. Both of them will be given the responsibility to get forward and join in on the attack whenever they can and keep a solid defensive shape at the back.
Marcos Alonso will offer cover for the defensive positions on the bench.
Midfield
Gavi, Sergio Busquets and Pedri will make up Barca’s midfield as they focus on dominating the 50-50 battles at the centre of the park. All three of them need to be at the top of their game if the Catalan club are to win this contest in front of their home supporters.
Pedri scored the only goal of the game against Celta Vigo and will be full of confidence ahead of this game.
Frenkie de Jong will be available for selection on the bench and might come on to influence the game in the second 45 minutes if needed.
Attack
Ousmane Dembele could get a chance to impress as the left-sided wide player while Raphinha hopes to catch the eye on the right flank.
Robert Lewandowski will lead the charge for the Catalan club on the attacking end of the field. The Polish striker failed to register a goal last weekend and would be eager to impress when he laces up to face off against the Inter Milan defenders this week.
Ansu Fati and Ferran Torres will be named on the bench as they wait for their chance to influence the game in the final quarter of the game if required.
