In a recent report from Daily Express, it was reported that Tottenham Hotspur have the right to be worried as Antonio Conte gets linked to a move to Juventus. The Italian tactician has given the Spurs fans a cause for concern as the Juventus Chiefs look to replace Massimiliano Allegri with Conte due to the poor performances in Serie A that have brought the Old Lady down to the eighth position.
Conte’s Managing Career Over The Years
Juventus(May 2011 – July 2014):
His return to Turin was already a huge hit among the fans. He delivered Serie A in his debut season. The Old Lady won the league title for the first time since 2003.
Record: 151 games, 102 wins, 34 draws, 15 losses
Chelsea(July 2016 – July 2018):
A lucrative offer from the Blues saw him leave the Italian National Team and coach in the Premier League. He surprised the other clubs by utilising a back 3 formation and it suited the side quite well as he delivered the Premier League title and FA Cup with the Blues.
Record: 106 games, 69 wins, 17 draws, 20 losses
Inter Milan(May 2019 – May 2021)
Conte returned to Italy once again as Inter Milan appointed him to make an impact, and he didn’t disappoint. Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez fired a whole lot of goals as he once again became champions with his famous 3-5-2 formation winning the Serie A title.
Record: 102 games, 64 wins, 23 draws, 15 losses
Tottenham Hotspur( November 2021)
Antonio Conte currently has a contract with Tottenham until 2023; he was brought in after the North London club announced the sacking of Nuno Espirito Santo due to a series of lacklustre displays in the Premier League at the beginning of the 2021/2022 season. The Lilywhites required an overhaul and a manager that could bring instant impact. He lived up to his glorious career as the Spurs finished in the fourth position qualifying for the UEFA Champions League.
Record: 35 games, 25 wins, 7 draws, 11 losses
Should Conte Leave Tottenham Hotspur?
The Italian has done a lot for the club already showing his capability and reliability in the last season. He has also taken key decisions to add more firepower to their attack and strengthen the defensive department at North London. The team that he has built undoubtedly stands a chance at lifting the Premier League crown but his exit could blow their chances of acquiring any silverware. Even if Juventus were to make a lucrative offer he would be wise to remain with the Spurs after investing his time and effort to revamp the squad.
