In a recent report, The Athletic claimed that Real Madrid would have to pay €150m to land Borussia Dortmund star Jude Bellingham next summer. It has been revealed that the German club are demanding €150m for their prized asset with Los Blancos eager to snap him up at the end of this campaign.
Bellingham’s Impressive Start To This Season
Bellingham is enjoying another good campaign with Dortmund as he has put in a few productive performances for them at the centre of the park. The former Birmingham City talent has found the back of the net on three occasions after making ten appearances for the German outfit this season across multiple competitions.
The 19-year-old has been a consistent performer at the heart of Dortmund’s midfield based on his average of 2.9 tackles, 1.7 interceptions, 1.3 clearances, 2.6 shots, 0.9 key passes and 3.0 dribbles per game in the Bundesliga. He has even taken care of the ball when distributing possession from midfield, as evidenced by his pass completion rate of 82.8% in the German first division (stats via whoscored).
The way Bellingham has been playing over the past couple of years, it is no surprise that Dortmund have decided to put a €150m price tag on him which could make things difficult for Los Blancos next year.
Is Bellingham A Dream Option For Real Madrid Boss Carlo Ancelotti?
Bellingham is a good tackler of the ball and can make some solid interceptions for his side at the centre of the park. He usually clears his lines when required and has also got the vision to engineer a few promising chances for his teammates to find the back of the net. Bellingham has mostly played as a box-to-box midfielder but can also fill in as a wide player on either wing if asked to do so.
The England international has even added a lot of goals to his game which would make him a perfect fit for Real Madrid next summer.
We can expect Bellingham to inject plenty of quality into Carlo Ancelotti‘s midfield department and could help the Madrid outfit maintain their dominance in both domestic and European football.
Thus, Bellingham will be a dream option for the Madrid giants to pursue next summer as he could grow into a future superstar at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium. Hence, Ancelotti should think about matching Dortmund’s hefty €150m price tag if he wants to build on his dynasty at the Madrid club.
