Arsenal will clash against FC Zurich in the opening round of the UEFA Europa League as they travel to Letzigrund Stadium on Thursday evening. The Gunners will come into the match on the back of a damaging 3-1 defeat against Manchester United in the Premier League, which ended their winning streak since the beginning of this campaign.
The Swiss champions are surprisingly in ninth place in the Swiss Super League and have had a dismal start to their domestic campaign. The home side suffered a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Lugano last week and will want to avoid another loss in this home encounter.
Arsenal Vs FC Zurich: Talking Tactics
Mikel Arteta will utilise a 4-2-3-1 formation but he’ll be switching things up as several players remain injured. Matt Turner is probably in line for his debut in between the sticks after Aaron Ramsdale shook off a thigh problem in the last fixture.
Franco Foda will opt for a 3-5-2 formation with Fabian Rohner and Aiyegun Tosin forming the two-man strike team up front. Fidan Aliti could replace Karol Mets in the three-man defence hoping to give a strong performance in his half.
