Arsenal faced off against FC Zurich at the Stadion Letzigrund earlier tonight as they hoped to pick up a positive result on the road in the UEFA Europa League. The Gunners made a bright start to the game and opened the goal-scoring in the 16th minute courtesy of Marquinhos’ goal from close range. Mirlind Kryeziu equalised for Zurich just before the half-time break from the penalty spot. Arsenal were being held 1-1 at half-time.
Mikel Arteta’s men made a decent start to the second half and regained their lead in the 62nd minute via Eddie Nketiah’s header. The contest ended with the North London giants earning a hard-fought 2-1 victory away from home.

He made a few crucial saves at the back and couldn’t manage to stop Kryeziu’s penalty.

The English centre-back cleared his lines when required and was accurate with his passing.

He made a lot of important clearances inside his half and did enough to restrict the home team from scoring more than once this evening.

Tierney threatened the opposition goal at times but struggled to get a foothold in the game.
CM: Fabio Viera – 6.5/10
The Portuguese talent made two good chances on the attacking end of the field.
CM: Albert Sambi Lokonga – 7/10
Lokonga anchored the midfield well and had two lively moments in the opponent’s half.
CM: Granit Xhaka – 7.5/10
The Swiss sensation made a lot of decent chances in the final third but failed to pick up an assist.
RW: Marquinhos – 8.5/10
The Brazilian winger looked really lively in the final third and has got a goal and an assist to show for his efforts.
ST: Eddie Nketiah – 7/10
Nketiah caused a few problems for the opposition but gave away a cheap penalty. However, he made up for his mistake by scoring in the second half.
LW: Gabriel Martinelli – 7/10
Martinelli was a constant menace down the left flank but there was no goal for him this evening.
