France will clash heads with Denmark at Parken Stadium in Copenhagen on Sunday night, hoping to pick up a positive result on match day six of the UEFA Nations League. The hosts will be coming into the match on the back of a 2-1 loss to Croatia, whereas Didier Deschamps’s men recorded an encouraging 2-0 victory over Austria.
Didier Deschamps will probably opt for the 3-4-3 formation; however, he is expected to make a couple of changes for the upcoming clash as William Saliba looks likely to get the nod over Jules Kounde.
3-4-3 France Predicted Lineup Vs Denmark
Defence
Alphonse Areola is expected to start between the sticks for the upcoming clash. The West Ham shot-stopper would hope to put up a strong performance and secure a clean sheet on Sunday.
Raphael Varane is expected to start at the heart of France’s backline, whereas Benoit Badiashile will feature at the left centre-back spot. William Saliba will fulfil the right centre-back position.
Midfield
Youssouf Fofana and Aurelien Tchouameni might fulfil the holding midfield positions, with the latter occupying a more central role. The pair would be looking to dominate the midfield proceedings.
Ferland Mendy might start at the left wing-back position, whereas Jonathan Clauss will fill in on the other flank as the right wing-back. The duo would be expected to stretch Chelsea’s attacks in the opposition half.
Eduardo Camavinga will have to settle for a place on the bench, but he could be brought on in the latter stages of the game if needed.
Attack
Kylian Mbappe and Antoine Griezmann will slot into the attacking midfield roles. The duo would be determined to set up some clear-cut goal-scoring chances for the front-men.
Oliver Giroud might lead the line for France this weekend. The 35-year-old striker will be hoping to find the back of the net when he faces off against the Denmark defence that has conceded five goals in the tournament so far.
Ousmane Dembele might come on to make a cameo appearance in the second forty-five minutes.
