Newcastle United welcomed Nottingham Forest at St. James’ Park earlier today as they looked to earn all three points in front of their home fans. The Magpies made a strong start to the game but were held to a scoreless draw at half-time.
Fabian Schar broke the deadlock with a powerful strike in the 58th minute before Callum Wilson made it 2-0 to Newcastle just 20 minutes later with a great finish. The match ended with the Tyneside outfit securing an impressive 2-0 win at home.

Almiron had a few bright moments in the game but didn’t do enough to score today.

The English talent caused a few problems for the Nottingham defenders and got his name on the scoresheet with a great finish in the 78th minute.

He showed some flashes of what he is capable of during the game but failed to register a goal.
