In a recent report, Defensa Central stated that Napoli midfield ace Fabian Ruiz is keen on a move to Real Madrid next summer. It has been mentioned that the Spanish talent wants to join Los Blancos when he becomes a free agent at the end of next season.
Ruiz’s Impressive Run Of Form In Italian Football
Ruiz had a solid season at Naples as he managed to perform at his best at the heart of Luciano Spalletti’s attack. The 26-year-old scored seven goals and secured five assists in 38 matches for the Italian outfit in the previous campaign across various competitions.
The Spanish sensation gave a good account of himself by averaging 1.7 tackles, 0.7 interceptions, 1.0 clearances, 1.3 shots and 1.0 key passes per 90 minutes in Serie A. He was even excellent when distributing the ball from midfield after making 90.5% of his attempted passes in the Italian first division (stats via whoscored).
Is Ruiz A Good Choice For Real Madrid Boss Carlo Ancelotti?
Ruiz can time his challenges well to earn the ball back for his team at the centre of the park. He usually clears his lines when needed and has got the vision to cut open the opposition defence with a decisive pass in the final third.
The Spaniard can even strike the ball with venom and precision from long range. He has all the skillset needed to be a success story at a top club like Real Madrid. However, only time will tell whether he can maintain his good form in La Liga if Carlo Ancelotti can lure him to the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium in the future.
His current contract with Napoli will end next summer which could open the door for Los Blancos to seal a move for him at the end of next season.
At 26, Ruiz will only get better over the next couple of years which makes him a decent choice for the Madrid giants to consider next year. We can expect the Spanish talent to inject more quality into Ancelotti’s midfield and help the Madrid club challenge for even more major trophies in the future.
