Everton are set to face Nottingham Forest at Goodison Park this Saturday evening as they hope for a better result this weekend. The Toffees come into the match on the back of a disappointing 2-1 defeat against Aston Villa, whereas the newly promoted Forest won 1-0 against West Ham United and are looking to grab another win this weekend.
Frank Lampard could set his team up in a 3-4-3 formation with minimal changes as a majority of the first-team squad remains plagued with injuries.
Everton 3-4-3 Predicted Lineup To Face Nottingham Forest
Defence
Jordan Pickford will operate in between the sticks for the Merseyside club after conceding a goal in the previous fixture. Mason Holgate, Conor Coady and James Tarkowski could form the three-man backline with Yerry Mina and Ben Godfrey out of action.
Midfield
Alex Iwobi would fill in the holding midfield position alongside Amadou Onana. Both of them would have to step up if Everton are to stand a chance to grab all three points in the next fixture.
Vitaliy Mykolenko will function as the left-sided wing-back and Nathan Patterson would operate on the opposite flank. Both of them will be allowed to join in on the attack but will be asked to remain compact to provide cover in the defence as well.
Abdoulaye Doucoure will remain sidelined after suffering a hamstring problem against the Villans. Both Allan and Andre Gomes also remain doubtful as they haven’t reached full fitness.
Attack
Anthony Gordon would lead the line and is expected to find the back of the net as Demarai Gray and Dwight McNeil look to provide support from the left-wing and right-wing positions respectively.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin hasn’t made an appearance in this campaign after suffering from a knee injury in the preseason. The forward is scheduled for a return around mid-September.
