Manchester City face Bournemouth as they make their trip to Eithad Stadium this Saturday afternoon. The Sky Blues come into the match being confident after their 2-0 win against West Ham United. Similarly, the Cherries succeeded in defeating Aston Villa 2-0 on their home turf at Dean Court.
Pep Guardiola will probably deploy the squad in a 4-3-3 formation while utilising various options for the attack at his disposal.

Defence
Ederson will operate in goal for Man City as the Brazilian shot-stopper looks to secure a clean sheet again. Nathan Ake and Ruben Dias are expected to form the centre-half partnership at the heart of City’s defence as they look to collectively stop the opposition when they’ll be on the front foot. Kyle Walker and Joao Cancelo will stretch the opposition by moving forward from the wing-back areas.
John Stones will provide cover from the bench while Aymeric Laporte recovers from his injury.
Midfield
Guardiola’s midfield trio will consist of Ilkay Gundogan, Rodri and Kevin De Bruyne as they look to distribute the ball efficiently and transition the attack. The latter will go deep into the opposition’s backline setting up his teammates in front of the goal.

The Spanish tactician has various attacking options at his disposal, but he will make sure Erling Haaland and Phil Foden start from the get-go. Riyad Mahrez might get the nod over Jack Grealish to feature in his preferred right-wing position allowing Foden to move back to the left flank where he remains comfortable.
