In a recent print edition, Tuttosport mentioned that Chelsea are yet to launch an improved offer for Inter Milan prospect Cesare Casadei this summer. It has been claimed that the Blues are yet to return with an improved bid for the Italian midfielder with Inter hoping to keep him in Italy.
Casadei’s Impressive Rise In Italian Football
The 19-year-old has caught the eye with his performances for Inter Milan Primavera as he has managed to be a decent goal-scoring midfielder for them over the past ten months. Casadei has made 65 appearances for Inter’s Under-19 side, scoring 24 goals and securing seven assists in the process across all fronts.
However, the Italian midfield ace is yet to make a senior appearance for his current club despite his excellent form in Italian youth football.
What Should Chelsea Head Coach Thomas Tuchel Do With Regards To Casadei?
Casadei is a decent passer of the ball and can orchestrate some meaningful openings for his teammates in the opposition half. He can chip in by scoring and creating his fair share of goals from midfield. Casadei is primarily a box-to-box midfielder but can even serve as an attacking midfielder or play as a winger on the left flank if required. However, at 19, the Italian talent is still quite raw and would need time before he is ready to play in the Premier League.
Still, there is no denying that Casadei has the potential to become a world-class, goal-scoring midfielder someday as long as he continues to improve his game with each year. Therefore, Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel would be wise to make an improved offer for the player as he will be a great signing for his side in the long run.
Casadei could grow into a future star in European football under the guidance of Tuchel at Stamford Bridge. He has what it takes to push for a first-team start at the West London club in the coming seasons. With all things considered, the Blues should think about getting him on board this summer or in the future as he is an exceptional, young midfielder who would improve their squad for the next decade.
