Real Madrid will clash heads with Espanyol at the RCDE Stadium on Sunday night as they focus on collecting maximum points away from home. Los Blancos managed to secure a 4-1 win away at Celta Vigo last weekend which will give them a lot of momentum going into this La Liga clash.
Carlo Ancelotti will stick with his preferred 4-3-3 formation and could name an unchanged first XI for this game. Karim Benzema will once again lead the charge for Los Blancos up top.
4-3-3 Real Madrid Predicted Lineup To Face Espanyol
Defence
Thibaut Courtois will feature in between the sticks for the Madrid giants after shipping in one goal versus Celta Vigo in his last league outing. Eder Militao will function alongside David Alaba in the centre-back positions as they look to keep a clean sheet on the road.
Dani Carvajal will keep his spot at right-back while Ferland Mendy hopes to catch the eye on the other side as the left-back. Both of them would be eager to get forward and create some decent chances in the final third.
Antonio Rudiger, Nacho and Lucas Vazquez will have to settle for a place on the bench as they provide cover for the defensive positions.
Midfield
Eduardo Camavinga, Aurelien Tchouameni and Luka Modric will anchor the midfield for the Madrid outfit as they look to enjoy more of the ball at the centre of the park and engineer some meaningful opportunities in the final third.
Modric will be expected to use his experience well to help get the best out of Camavinga and Tchouameni in midfield.
Toni Kroos will have to be content with a spot on the bench as he looks to make an impact in the second half if required.
Attack
Vinicius Junior will try to use his quickness and agility to get the better of his marker on the left flank while Federico Valverde hopes to give a good account of himself from the right.
Karim Benzema will operate as the centre-forward for the Madrid giants as he looks to put in another goal-scoring performance this weekend. The Frenchman got his name on the scoresheet from the penalty spot versus Celta Vigo, so his confidence will be quite high for this match.
Rodrygo and Mariano Diaz will be available for selection on the bench but might come on to make an impact in the latter stages of the game if Los Blancos are in need of a goal by then.
