Mavididi’s Impressive Form At The Stade de la Mosson
Mavididi enjoyed a decent season in French football as he managed to catch the eye with a few impressive displays on the left side of Montpellier’s frontline. The former Arsenal youth player has banged in eight goals and secured three assists in 31 matches for the French outfit in the previous campaign across all competitions.
The Derby-born talent has performed well to average 2.0 shots, 0.8 key passes and 1.3 dribbles per 90 minutes in Ligue 1. He has even been accurate with his ball distribution after making 80.1% of his attempted passes in the top tier of French football (stats via whoscored).
Is Mavididi The Right Fit For West Ham Boss David Moyes?
Mavididi can use his quickness and agility to make a few dangerous runs with the ball out on the wide areas. The 24-year-old has got the strength to keep possession moving quite well in the opposition half and is proficient at generating a yard of space for himself to get a few shots in on-target.
The English sensation will only get better with each season, so the Hammers will do well to acquire his services when the transfer window reopens later this month.
Mavididi will enhance the quality of West Ham‘s match-day squad and could offer some serious competition for Said Benrahma, Jarrod Bowen and Pablo Fornals in the race to earn a regular starting spot at the London Stadium. He could even help David Moyes‘ side challenge for a top-four place in the Premier League next season. With all things considered, Mavididi will be a decent fit for the East London giants to pursue during this summer transfer period.
