In a recent report, Fichajes mentioned that West Ham United are showing interest in Blackburn Rovers forward Ben Brereton Diaz. It has been stated that the Hammers are eyeing a move for the Chilean striker this summer.
Diaz’s Excellent Goal-Scoring Record At Ewood Park This Season
Diaz is having a brilliant campaign in the EFL Championship as he has been responsible for producing a series of match-winning performances as the focal point of Blackburn’s attack. The 23-year-old has banged in 22 goals and provided three assists in 39 matches for Tony Mowbray’s side this season across all fronts.
The 11-time Chile international has given a good account of himself in the final third because he is averaging 2.8 shots, 0.6 key passes and 1.6 dribbles per 90 minutes in the English Championship. Is Diaz A Good Choice For West Ham United?
Diaz has proven himself to be a deadly finisher in front of the opposition goal this season. He has got the composure to create a yard of space for himself to get a few shots in on-target. The England-born talent can even engineer some decent openings for others around him and can also make some promising runs with the ball in the attacking end of the field. He is primarily a centre-forward but can operate as a winger on either flank if required.
At 23, the future is quite bright for Diaz as long as he continues to take strides toward improving himself in the coming seasons. Therefore, West Ham will do well to lure him to the London Stadium when the transfer reopens later this year.
We can expect Diaz to add more firepower to David Moyes‘ attack which makes him a wise choice for the East London outfit to pursue this summer. His goals could even help the Hammers challenge for a top-four place in the Premier League next season.
