Tottenham Hotspur welcomed Leicester City at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium earlier today as they hoped to earn maximum points in front of their home fans. Spurs made a quick start to the game and got themselves ahead in the 22nd minute courtesy of Harry Kane’s powerful header. The North London giants sat on their lead well and went into the half-time break 1-0 up on the scoreline.
Heung-min Son doubled Tottenham’s advantage at the hour mark before going on to score again in the 79th minute with a great strike. Leicester scored a consolation via Kelechi Iheanacho’s goal in injury-time as the match finished 3-1 in favour of Antonio Conte’s men.
