Liverpool go head to head with Chelsea at the Wembley stadium on Saturday evening for the FA Cup final. The remainder of their games this season also include the UCL Final with Real Madrid as they continue on achieving the unthinkable, with hopes of a quadruple still lingering around the Merseyside fans.
The Reds are neck to neck with Manchester City in the Premier League standings after defeating Aston Villa 2-1. As for the Blues, the FA Cup remains the only Domestic silverware left for them to achieve.
Team News
Things aren’t looking good for Fabinho as he was called off after dealing with a hamstring problem during the clash against the Villans on Tuesday night. Furthermore, Firmino has returned after dealing with the foot injury he sustained early on but the striker remains doubtful to start.
Apart from this, Jurgen Klopp’s side do not have any other setback as they look to bring home the FA Cup ending a 16-year drought. Klopp will probably opt for the 4-3-3 formation with a couple of tweaks from the last match.
4-3-3 Predicted Liverpool Lineup vs Chelsea
Defence
Alisson Becker should operate between the sticks for the upcoming clash. The Brazilian shot-stopper would hope to put up a strong performance and secure a clean sheet on Sunday.
Ibrahima Konate will look to partner with Virgil van Dijk at the heart of Liverpool’s backline as they look to stop Tottenham in their tracks.
Andrew Robertson is a guaranteed starter at the left wing-back position, whereas Trent Alexander-Arnold will fill in on the other flank as the right wing-back. The full-backs will be expected to stretch the opposition.
Midfield
Henderson might start in the holding midfield position in the centre and could be assigned with more of a defensive role to shield the back-four.
Naby Keita and Thiago Alcantara will slot into the attacking midfield role on either side completing the midfield trio. The duo would be determined to set up some clear-cut goal scoring chances for the front men.
Attack
Luis Diaz and Mohamed Salah will take up the wide positions, playing on the left and right-wing, respectively.
Sadio Mane will lead the line against the Blues at the weekend. The Senegalese forward will be hoping to get his name on the scoresheet when he faces off against the opposition’s backline.
