Chelsea faced off against Everton at Goodison Park earlier tonight as they focused on earning a good result on the road. The Blues were dominant in the first half but failed to be decisive in the final third as they went into the half-time interval with a 0-0 scoreline.
Thomas Tuchel’s men made a sloppy start to the second half as they conceded the opening goal in the 46th minute when Richarlison scored for Everton with a composed finish. The contest ended with the Blues suffering a poor 1-0 defeat at Merseyside.

Mendy made a few good saves and was tidy with his passing. However, he will be disappointed after conceding early in the second half.

The Spaniard looked shaky at the back and produced a disjointed display defensively during the game.
CB: Thiago Silva – 6.5/10
The Brazilian talent made some important defensive contributions and made one good chance in the opposition half.
CB: Antonio Rudiger – 6/10
Rudiger cleared the danger when required and was a threat at the other end of the field.
RM: Reece James – 6.5/10
He was solid when defending inside his half and had some lively moments in the final third.
CM: Jorginho – 7/10
Jorginho got stuck in with some solid tackles and made one good run in the opposition half. He was tidy with his passing as well.
CM: Ruben Loftus-Cheek – 7.5/10
The English talent anchored the midfield with conviction and a constant menace in the final third.
LM: Marcos Alonso – 7/10
The Spaniard was solid when defending at the back and created some inviting chances for his teammates up top.
CAM: Mason Mount – 7/10
He was unfortunate to hit the post but engineered a few meaningful openings for his teammates.

Havertz made two promising runs with the ball but didn’t do enough to get his name on the scoresheet.
