Barcelona welcomed Mallorca at the Nou Camp earlier tonight as they focused on collecting all three points at home. The Catalan giants made a bright start to the game and took the lead in the 25th minute courtesy of Memphis Depay’s tidy finish. Barca sat on their lead well and went into the half-time break with a 1-0 advantage.
Sergio Busquets gave his team some breathing room by scoring in the 54th minute. Mallorca got a late consolation goal via Antonio Raillo’s excellent volley. The match ended with Barca earning a solid 2-1 win in front of their home supporters.

The Spanish left-back kept things tidy on the defensive end of the field and engineered some inviting chances in the opponent’s half. He ended the game with an assist to his name.
CM: Frenkie de Jong – 6.5/10
He made two good runs with the ball and orchestrated some meaningful openings in the final third. However, he didn’t offer enough protection at the back.
CM: Sergio Busquets – 8/10
Busquets got stuck in with a few crunching tackles and had some lively moments in the opponent’s half. He scored the decisive second goal for Barca early in the second half.
CM: Gavi – 7/10
He caused a few problems for the opposition but didn’t do enough to score a goal.
RW: Ferran Torres – 6.5/10
The Spanish sensation made two good runs with the ball and was accurate with his passing.
ST: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang – 6.5/10
Aubameyang was a constant menace up top but struggled to register a goal tonight.

He caused all sorts of problems for the opposition and deserves credit for opening the goal-scoring in the first half.
