Barcelona entertained Villarreal at the Nou Camp earlier tonight as they looked to bag all three points at home. The Catalans made a slow start to the game and conceded the opening goal in the 41st minute when Alfonso Pedraza scored with a clinical finish. Barca went into the half-time interval 1-0 down on the scoreline.
Moi Gomez doubled his team’s advantage in the 55th minute with a good finish from close range. The Catalan giants failed to come up with a response and crashed to a 2-0 defeat in front of their home fans.
Let’s take a look at how each Barcelona player performed during the match against Villarreal.

He got stuck in with some solid tackles and was quite lively in the opponent’s half.
CB: Ronald Araujo – 6.5/10
Araujo did his fair share of defending but failed to stop the opposition from scoring twice during the 90 minutes.

The French talent was a strong presence in the air but struggled to give a good account of himself on the defensive end of the pitch.
LB: Jordi Alba – 6/10
The Spaniard made a couple of decent chances in the final third and was far from convincing at the back.

Gavi struggled to get into the rhythm of the game and produced a below-average display during his time on the field.
RW: Adama Traore – 5/10
Traore made a mistake in the lead-up to one of Villarreal’s goals. He was quite toothless offensively as well.
ST: Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang – 5.5/10
The ex-Arsenal sensation was mostly quiet in the opponent’s half as he didn’t get too many sniffs at goal.
LW: Ferran Torres – 6.5/10
Torres showed some flashes of what he is capable of but didn’t do enough to register a goal.
