Arsenal locked horns with West Ham United at the London Stadium earlier tonight as they looked to earn a positive result on their travels. The Gunners made a strong start to the game and got themselves ahead in the 38th minute courtesy of Rob Holding’s header. However, the Hammers found the leveler just seven minutes later when Jarrod Bowen scored with a deflected attempt. Both London teams went into the half-time break with a 1-1 scoreline.
Arsenal regained their lead in the 54th minute when Gabriel found the back of the net with a solid header. The match ended with the North London giants securing an impressive 2-1 win on the road.
Let’s take a look at how each Arsenal player fared during the match against the Hammers.

The English keeper made a couple of solid saves during the game but will be disappointed after conceding a goal just after the half-time break.

Holding was a rock at the back as he cleared the danger when needed. He also gave Arsenal the lead with a good header.
CB: Gabriel – 7.5/10
He made a handful of important clearances inside his half and scored a decent goal in the second half to win the game for his team.
LB: Nuno Tavares – 6.5/10
The Portuguese left-back made one encouraging run with the ball and was defensively solid at the back as well.
CM: Martin Odegaard – 6.5/10
He created some decent openings for others around him but didn’t do enough to score today.

Elneny offered decent protection for his teammates on the defensive third of the pitch. He even made a good chance in the West Ham half.
CM: Granit Xhaka – 7/10

The English striker did everything but score today. He was a real handful for the opposition centre-backs but failed to find the back of the net.

Martinelli helped his teammates out at the back when required and had some lively moments in the final third. He has got an assist to show for his efforts.

CAM: Emile Smith Rowe – N/A
Smith Rowe didn’t get enough time to warrant a rating.
